Felonies: Men arrested for alleged dog-fighting operation

Authorities arrest individuals in Colorado on a daily basis for various alleged violations of a law or laws. Some arrests result in formal criminal charges that can lead to a myriad of legal and personal issues for any individual charged. Two men recently were formally charged with felonies and are likely consulting the assistance of a criminal defense attorney in the aftermath of their arrest.

New survey by CDOT produced to understand marijuana DUI

Marijuana use and driving have been frequent topics among people and authorities in Colorado in recent years. Following the legalization of marijuana, authorities have had a difficult time determining a standard test to detect impairment from marijuana while driving. Reportedly, most marijuana drivers understand that they can be arrested for a DUI while under the influence of marijuana, but many continue to operate vehicles after consumption or use.

Felonies: Man voted for wife and found guilty of forgery

Once in a loving relationship, estranged spouses can sadly be each other's worst enemies. When couples are estranged, many times things are said or done that are not rational. Unfortunately, some actions can conflict with the law and lead to charges of misdemeanors or felonies, depending on the crime. One former chairman of the Colorado GOP was recently convicted of misdemeanor and forgery due to choosing to vote for his wife in the 2016 election.
